Family RoundTables

following jesus in all of life

For families with children 0-12

Family RoundTable provides ongoing training and discipleship for parents and caregivers of children 0-12. We meet once a month with all the families together at our Pittsburgh West location, and gather with 1-2 other families at a weekly Table so that our kids can experience connection, growth, and purpose along with the grown ups!

How does it work?

1. RoundTables

Once a month, participating families gather for a RoundTable. The night starts at 5 PM with a simple meal all together. Then, we’ll do a short kid-inclusive activity before the kids go to play and the adults engage in conversation and teaching on a topic of family discipleship.

Discipleship isn’t just about church activities- it’s about following Jesus in all of life. That’s why we will focus on 4 categories of health known as RPMS:

  • Relational Health
  • Physical Health
  • Mental/ Emotional Health
  • Spiritual Health

Families will have access to a discipleship toolkit that gives ideas and prompts for practical ways to grow in each area.

2. Weekly Tables

Participating families will be matched with another 1-2 families of a similar stage for weekly discipleship. This size helps things stay manageable and give enough room for growth- we always leave room to invite others to our Tables!

The format of these Table meetings is simple:

  1. Share simple food together (can be a meal or snacks)
  2. Engage in open conversation over the Bible through what’s known as Discovery Bible Study. You can discuss the scripture from the worship gathering each weekend through the Table Guides or choose your own series or passage to discuss.

Each discussion will focus on taking steps to what God is speaking to us through scripture. Kids can participate or play as the adults discuss.

Each Table is encouraged to find a way to regularly bless their community together.
