What is a Table?
In short, it’s gathering with others for simple food and a Discovery Bible Study. The group meets for a maximum of one year, with the goal of multiplying new leaders after that year.
Who is a Table for?
Anyone who is open to spiritual conversation centered around the Bible. You do not have to be a follower of Jesus to join a Table group- in fact, Tables are at their best with people present who are at various points on their spiritual journey. Groups can start with an initial 6 week commitment for participants before deciding if they’d like to continue.

What happens at a Table Group?
We are big fans of Jesus' method of spiritual conversation around a shared meal. We start with casual conversation over simple food - it might be snacks, coffee, or a crockpot meal. Afterwards, we connect with God through a worship song or prayer and an open discussion on a passage of the Bible. We close by sharing action steps that bring the passage into our week, as well as any ways we feel called to serve our community.

Being in a table group has helped me grow spiritually, and encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people.
How to Start a Table
Tables are the primary way we make disciples at the Table Church.
Leading a Table is for those who have a desire to help others take steps of faith on their spiritual journey. You don’t have to be a Bible expert! If you are someone who has a track record of saying “yes” to Jesus and can affirm the Table Leader Covenant, then spend time seeking God in prayer and talking to some trusted friends if this is the right step for you.

2. Build a Team with one or more people to help run your Table. Meet with them in the weeks leading up to launch to pray and plan.
3. Host a party or fun hang out to invite those you’d like to join your Table!
4. Start meeting regularly with your Table using Table Guides or by using standard DBS questions and Scripture lists. The strongest groups also mix up their schedule through invite-friendly hang outs and serving opportunities in the community.
5. Stay equipped for leadership through ongoing coaching, taking the full Table Leader Training course, and other leader gatherings.

The Heart Behind Tables
Tables are small, intentional gatherings where people share a simple meal and engage in Discovery Bible Study, fostering spiritual growth and authentic community. Tables are open to everyone - the lost, the lukewarm, and the long-time Christian!
