A disciple-making community

Movement Makers is a transformational 9-month community that empowers you to know your identity in Christ as well as your part in God’s global disciple-making movement. Through a 9-month process of intensive discipleship and encountering Jesus, you will be transformed in character and activated in call. You will deepen your walk with Him and discover your unique purpose. Movement Makers focuses less on content and more on presence with God and others through a combination of prayer, worship, and teaching in a hands-on learning environment.

Past cohorts have seen mission-minded leaders launched into their ministry such as leading Tables that reach the lost, discovering calling to global missions, starting a non-profit, or living as an everyday missionary in their workplace or neighborhood.

Movement Makers will be catalytic in establishing Kingdom values and in empowering people to live fully fruitful lives obeying Jesus.

This disciple-making community will start on September 12-13 with an overnight retreat and will go through May of 2026. The cost is $550 with an early bird discount of $50 (Application in by July 1st.) Partial scholarships and payment plans are available if needed. If accepted into the cohort, the first payment of $250 is due on August 30th.

What will Movement Makers look like?

We will meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30-8:30 PM. We begin promptly at 6:30 with dinner together. Participants also have a small, gender-specific discipleship group that meets weekly as well as weekly reading, writing, and prayer assignments. You should expect 30-60 minutes per day to complete these assignments.

There will be 2 separate cohorts. Thursdays will be a mixture of joint meetings at our Pittsburgh West location and separate cohort meetings in Clinton or the South Hills, respectively.

Can I make up dates that I miss?

Movement Makers is less built around content and more around presence – with God and others. While some information can be given, participants should make every effort to prioritize their meetings. The retreat is required for all participants.

When can I apply?

The application period is June 1 – July 31 with an early bird discount of $50 until July 1. A panel will meet to discern the best fit for cohorts. Notifications of cohort placement will go out by August 15.

We will ask for two references. One from a pastor or Table leader and one from a fellow follower of Jesus. We will be in touch by August 6th to set up an intake interview.
